It’s all too easy for a wedding to become more about everything around the couple vs. the couple themselves. Priya (aka Evite’s SEM manager!) and her husband Sumanth decided to avoid the traditional large wedding and instead jet off to the stunning South Pacific island of Mo’orea with 6 of their closest friends to celebrate their love on their wedding day. (Their epic post-wedding soirée in California is a whole other story in terms of guest list size, though!)

How did the two of you meet?
We met at a restaurant called Wally's in Beverly Hills one random night while we were out with our respective friends.
What inspired you to have a small destination wedding?
Indian weddings can become somewhat of a circus in terms of the number of events and the size of the guest list. It's very easy to get lost in the chaos and not be able to be fully present in the moment. Therefore, we decided to have our wedding in Tahiti with just 6 of our closest friends, including my husband's childhood friend Sunil who did our secular ceremony/exchange of vows. The day our ceremony was supposed to take place, it rained all day up until 1/2 hour before our ceremony was scheduled to start. The sun came out, the sand was dried and the weather was perfect.
How did you make the ceremony unique to you?
Sunil performed a very personal, short and sweet ceremony that included some words of wisdom, funny jokes, and mention of my husband and I's love by his own account.
Favorite moment?
Walking towards Sumanth with the beautiful sunset and teal blue waters behind him.
Advice for other couples considering a destination wedding?
A wedding, especially the ceremony, should be about two people and their love for each other. Whether you want a religious, secular or non-traditional ceremony, try not to let outside opinions influence what you and your partner want. It's your day, after all!

Long story short, SignUp Sheets save everyone involved tons of time, avoid scheduling headaches and ensure everything runs smoothly before and during the event.
Creating a signup sheet has never been easier than with Evite! Here’s how to create a sheet that’s sure to make your event an absolute success:
When it comes to signup sheet information, there are some essentials to include regardless of what you’re organizing:
When adding your slot information, clearly define what people are signing up for, especially for a what-to-bring list or role assignments. If you want someone to bring healthy snacks for kids to enjoy after a game, specify that. You want your volunteers to feel confident in what they’re bringing and to make it easy for them to know what’s expected of them. It will save them time and stress (and you, too!). That being said, if you make your ask too specific (for example, asking for a hard-to-source item or something expensive), you may not end up with a volunteer for it. So be clear about what you expect, but also be reasonable!
Aside from providing the basic signup information, you can also add optional descriptions to both your entire signup sheet and individual slots. While not required, they can help guide your volunteers further and provide more information. You can add information about allergies, preferences and general info about the event. You can also add a wish list to make it easier for your volunteers to bring exactly what you need!
Signup sheet templates offer a ton of advantages for both organizers and volunteers and with Evite SignUp Sheets, you'll enjoy even more benefits than other digital and paper signup sheets! Some benefits our signup sheet templates offer include:
