Chef, food stylist, and photographer Aliza J. Sokolow is passionate about all things healthy eating. And, when it comes to helping kiddos eat more fresh and nourishing foods, she seriously knows what she’s talking about. Published this past January, her book This is What I Eat: Fun Activities for Mindful Eating is all about inspiring the next generation to care for their bodies, community, and planet through food! Creating your perfect snack board starts with the prep! The rest is just assembling. 

How I prep

1. First, get ahold of your favorite fruits, veggies, and anything else you love in different colors, shapes, and textures.
2. Then, put everything out in what we call mis en place (or “put in place” in French). Once I have all of my produce washed and ready to go, I assemble. You cannot do this wrong!
