Artist and poet Amber Vittoria combines abstracted forms with fantastically bold colors to create artwork that fascinates and inspires. Representing the nuances of womanhood, her work and vision are unlike any other, and her answers to our Q&A are equally intriguing.
Making art has always been the best way for me to share my thoughts and self with others; through making colors, forms, and short stories, I feel most like myself. My parents saw this in me at a young age and encouraged me to continue.
Bold, colorful, vulnerable
I love going for walks. Moving myself outside of my studio space allows my mind to come out of a creative block best.
My proudest moment is the day I decided to quit my full-time art direction job and work fully for myself. Taking a bet on oneself can bring a lot of fear, but I'm so glad my younger self trusted in my future.
Like many abstract artists, my work began more figurative; it aimed to create imagery that I could see myself in given how I couldn't see myself in the imagery I saw out in the world. Over time, the concepts in my work grew more emotion-focused and less form-focused, which pushed me to create forms that lived beyond the human figure.
Sometimes! Sometimes a piece comes to me as I build each shape, but other times I am inspired by a form in nature, a memory or a poem, and then sketch it to become a future painting.
Both—sometimes a poem inspires the visual forms, and other times the visual forms inspire the poem. It is why I love that the poems and visuals are intrinsically linked in this book.
Whenever I come home for the holidays and see my family; being with the ones I love is always the best.
Know that it is okay to evolve as a creative; social media encourages repetition and niche, which is okay, but it is also okay to grow beyond that as well.
The fact that my artwork will be tethered to incredible, personal and exciting events in the lives of others truly means the world to me.

Creating a signup sheet has never been easier than with Evite! Here’s how to create a sheet that’s sure to make your event an absolute success:
When it comes to signup sheet information, there are some essentials to include regardless of what you’re organizing:
When adding your slot information, clearly define what people are signing up for, especially for a what-to-bring list or role assignments. If you want someone to bring healthy snacks for kids to enjoy after a game, specify that. You want your volunteers to feel confident in what they’re bringing and to make it easy for them to know what’s expected of them. It will save them time and stress (and you, too!). That being said, if you make your ask too specific (for example, asking for a hard-to-source item or something expensive), you may not end up with a volunteer for it. So be clear about what you expect, but also be reasonable!
Aside from providing the basic signup information, you can also add optional descriptions to both your entire signup sheet and individual slots. While not required, they can help guide your volunteers further and provide more information. You can add information about allergies, preferences and general info about the event. You can also add a wish list to make it easier for your volunteers to bring exactly what you need!
Signup sheet templates offer a ton of advantages for both organizers and volunteers and with Evite SignUp Sheets, you'll enjoy even more benefits than other digital and paper signup sheets! Some benefits our signup sheet templates offer include:
